Racking relocation
Moving racking is a structural job that happens to involve a lorry. Rejuva surveys both buildings, dismantles and catalogues the system, moves it and reinstalls it to updated drawings at the other end, including checking that the steel is still fit to re-erect before it goes back up.
Why a relocation is not a dismantling job with transport attached
Taking racking apart, moving it and putting it back is presented as a logistics problem, and the logistics is the easy half. The hard half is that the system arriving at the new building has to be a structure again: designed to the floor it now stands on, anchored into a slab nobody has tested yet, and compliant with the rules that apply where it now is rather than where it came from.
What goes wrong when that is underestimated is predictable. Components come back damaged from being handled as freight rather than as structure. Bays go up that cannot be signed off. And the move overruns into the window the operation had promised its customers, which is the cost that actually lands.
A relocation is also the cheapest opportunity you will get to change the layout, because everything is already on the floor. Operations that were going to move a system as-is often use the moment to go denser instead, and gain capacity in the new building without buying much more steel.

Rebuilt to updated drawings, anchored, protected and signed, then handed over with the inspection and compliance documentation for the new site.

Frequently asked questions about racking relocation
How long does a racking relocation take?
It depends on the size of the system, the access at both ends, whether the move crosses a border and how much of the operation has to keep running through it. You get a schedule during the planning phase, once both buildings have been surveyed, rather than an estimate before anyone has seen them.
Can we change the layout during the move?
Yes, and it is the obvious moment to do it. The system is coming apart anyway, so a reconfiguration, a change of aisle width or a move to a denser layout costs far less now than it will as a separate project later.
Do you handle mixed-brand systems?
Yes. Most warehouses are mixed, because runs get extended over the years with whatever was available, and Rejuva is not tied to one manufacturer.
What about compliance at the new site?
The reinstalled system is signed off against the rules that apply where it now stands, which is not always where it came from, and you get the documentation for an audit, an insurer or a landlord.
Can upgrades be added during the relocation?
Yes. Impact protection, end guards, new signage and replacement components for anything that fails the re-survey are usually done as part of the same job, because the bays are already empty.
Can you coordinate a move across several sites?
Yes. Multi-site consolidations run on one project plan with one point of contact, which is what keeps the sequence workable when stock from three buildings has to arrive at one in a particular order.
