Racking installation

Racking is only as safe as its installation: the design is a drawing until somebody puts the frames in the right place, plumb, anchored and torqued. Rejuva installs and dismantles racking across Europe with crews who do this full time, sequenced so the parts of the warehouse that are still trading keep trading.

Installation, dismantling, or both

Most racking projects are not empty buildings. They are a live warehouse where one bay has to come out, another has to go in, and the stock has to be somewhere in the meantime. Rejuva handles both directions of that work: installing new systems to the approved drawings, and dismantling existing racking safely so the floor it occupied is released without damaging steel that is worth reusing.

Dismantling is the half that gets underestimated. Racking under load holds a great deal of energy, components come down in a specific order, and anything that will be re-erected has to be handled as a structure rather than as scrap. Done properly it feeds directly into a relocation or a buy-back; done badly it produces a skip and an insurance conversation.

Why the installation is worth doing properly

    Load figures on a drawing assume frames that are plumb, anchored to the floor and torqued to specification. An installation that departs from the drawing invalidates the numbers it was signed off against.

    Installed to the manufacturer’s specification and handed over with the documentation, which is what an insurer, an auditor or a regulator asks to see.

  • A layout that works on the floor

    Aisle widths, run positions and level pitches set for the trucks and the stock you actually run, not for the version of the operation the catalogue assumed.

    Phased and sequenced so the areas still in use keep running, which is usually the difference between a project and a shutdown.

  • Crews who install racking full time

    A specialist team recognises a component that has been misused, a floor that will not take an anchor and a bay that is out of line, because they have seen all three before.

    Frames set correctly at the start do not turn into the misalignment, the loose baseplate and the creeping impact damage an inspection finds two years later.

How an installation runs

  1. Survey and drawings

    The building is measured, the floor is checked and the layout is agreed before anything is ordered.

  2. Programme and access

    The sequence, the working hours and the areas released to us are planned around the operation, not against it.

  3. Installation

    Frames set out, plumbed, anchored and torqued to the drawings, with protection and signage fitted as part of the same job.

  4. Handover

    Documentation, load notices and the inspection regime the system then falls under, so day one of its service life is recorded.

Systems we install

Pallet racking in all its layouts, including mobile bases, push-back and drive-in or drive-through. Cantilever and coil racking for long and cylindrical loads. Picking shelving and multi-level picking structures. Pallet shuttle systems, clad-rack buildings, automated stores and very narrow aisle installations, where the setting-out tolerances are tighter and the floor matters more.

Rejuva is not tied to one manufacturer, so an installation crew arriving on your site is as likely to be working on an existing system from another supplier as on new steel, which is also what makes the dismantling, relocation and buy-back services possible.
