Industrial infrared heaters
Traditional heating systems waste energy warming empty air while your team stays cold. Industrial infrared heaters deliver targeted warmth directly to people and surfaces, keeping your warehouse or factory comfortable all year round. Rejuva supplies and installs infrared heating solutions across Europe.
How radiant heating works
Industrial radiant heating uses climate panels or ceilings that emit infrared rays. These rays heat objects and people directly without heating the surrounding air. The panels can be installed on ceilings or walls and operate silently and unobtrusively.
The main advantage of this system is that it distributes the heat evenly and avoids the energy losses associated with the circulation of warm air, which tends to rise towards the top of rooms. This makes radiant heaters particularly suitable for large spaces with high ceilings, such as industrial sites or exhibition halls, and they are also appreciated for their ability to create a comfortable environment while being energy efficient.
Benefits of radiant heating for industry
Radiant heating provides efficient heat distribution, even in large, open spaces, and offers rapid thermal comfort without the air movement encountered with traditional heating systems.
-
Energy efficiency
Radiant heating directly warms people and objects without needing to heat the surrounding air, reducing heat loss and improving energy efficiency.
-
Enhanced thermal comfort
This type of heating provides uniform heat that eliminates cold draughts. The air temperature can be up to 3 °C lower when heating, or higher when cooling, than the temperature people actually perceive.
-
Lower heating costs
Thanks to its high efficiency, radiant heating reduces heating costs compared with traditional systems. How far it does so on a given site depends on the building, its height and its hours, which is what the survey establishes.
-
Flexible installation
The climate panels or ceilings can be installed relatively unobtrusively and are adaptable to a variety of space configurations. The equipment is modular and combines in length and width as the building requires.
-
Quiet and discreet
The system operates silently, which is a considerable advantage in environments where noise is a concern.
-
Rapid thermal response
Radiant heating responds quickly, providing heat where it is needed without significant delay.
Technology and innovation at work
The technology behind industrial radiant heating is based on a natural principle similar to the effect of the sun on our environment. Like the sun in winter, which directly heats the surfaces it touches despite the cold ambient air, industrial radiant heating uses panels or ceilings that emit infrared rays. These systems are not electric but hydraulic, using water to modulate the temperature of the space.
Infrared rays pass through the air without heating it directly; heat is generated when these rays reach and are absorbed by surfaces and objects, including people, in the room. This process makes very efficient use of energy, as it minimises heat loss due to air convection, a common inefficiency with traditional heating systems, and radiation produces an immediate sensation of warmth.
Radiant heating can often be combined with other technologies, such as integrated LED lighting, to maximise space efficiency and aesthetics while providing evenly distributed heat. The panels install quickly on site, and their durability and impact resistance make them suitable for demanding environments such as sports halls.
Where radiant heating is used
-
Industrial
In factories, warehouses and workshops where large open spaces or high ceilings can make other forms of heating less efficient.
-
Commercial
In shops, showrooms and large commercial spaces, radiant heating provides pleasant warmth for customers and employees without the unpleasant draughts often associated with convection systems.
-
Agricultural
In greenhouses and agricultural facilities, it helps maintain stable temperatures for plant growth or animal comfort without disturbing the ambient air with fans or other mechanical devices.
-
Healthcare
In hospitals and clinics, where precise temperature control matters, it provides a comfortable environment for patients without excessive air circulation.
Standards the products are built to
Radiant heating products such as climate panels and ceilings are designed to meet the standards and regulations that govern their quality, safety and energy efficiency, which is what makes them suitable for use in commercial and industrial buildings.
These products comply with the current European and international standards for heating and ventilation, EN 14037-2 among them, covering energy performance, electrical safety and indoor air quality, and often carry certifications for energy efficiency, safety testing and the use of sustainable materials.
