Industrial warehouse racking
Coil racking
Coil racking holds cylindrical loads in shaped cradles rather than on flat beams, so steel coil, wire, cable drums and reels sit secure and keep their shape. Rejuva designs, supplies and installs it across Europe for steel stockholders, metal processors and cable distributors.
Why cylindrical loads need their own racking
A coil, drum or reel resting on a flat beam sits on a single line of contact. It can roll, it takes its whole weight through one narrow band, and a soft-edged coil will deform against the steel over time. Coil racking replaces the flat beam with a cradle or a pair of saddles shaped to the diameter, so the load is supported around its curve and cannot move.
From there the design follows the product: cradle profile and spacing come from the coil diameters and widths you actually hold, and the frame is specified for weights that are usually far higher per position than a pallet run. Steel stockholders, metal processors, wire and cable distributors and the manufacturers who feed off them are the operations that need it.
What coil racking gives you
-
Loads that cannot roll
A shaped cradle holds the coil at rest without chocks, blocks or anything else that has to be put back correctly every time.
-
Product that keeps its shape
Support around the curve rather than on one line stops the flattening and edge damage that turns stock into a downgraded sale.
-
Floor recovered
Coil stacked or chocked on the floor spreads out and blocks access. Racked, it goes up instead of out and every position stays reachable.
-
Access without disturbing the rest
Each coil is lifted from its own cradle, so getting one out does not mean moving three others first.
-
A frame built for the weight
Coil positions carry loads well beyond a normal pallet, so the uprights, the cradles and the floor loading are all designed rather than assumed.
-
A tidier, safer bay
Cylindrical loads held in fixed positions remove the single largest hazard in this kind of stock, which is something heavy that can start to move.
Designed, installed and inspected
Coil racking is heavily loaded racking, so it is designed against the real weights, installed to the drawings and then inspected in service against EN 15635 like any other system. Rejuva covers all three, and is not tied to one manufacturer, so the recommendation follows from the survey rather than from a catalogue.
Racking services, from first survey to buy-back
Racking is not only bought. It has to be installed to the design, inspected while it is in use, repaired when it is hit, and moved or sold when the operation changes.
Racking systems we design and install
Every system sits somewhere on one trade-off: selectivity, meaning you can reach any pallet at any time, against density, meaning how many pallets fit into the same floor area.
