Racking labels and signage
Two different jobs share the same trade. One is finding things: a numbering scheme that a picker, a scanner and the warehouse system all read the same way. The other is compliance: the load notice that tells anyone loading a bay what it is rated to carry, which is a duty rather than a convenience.
The numbering scheme comes before the labels
The expensive mistake in labelling is ordering labels first. A scheme that runs against the direction people actually walk, or that numbers levels from the top when the system counts from the floor, produces a warehouse that is labelled and still slow, and the labels are then on the beams.
Rejuva starts with the scheme: how aisles, bays, levels and positions are numbered, which way the sequence runs, and how that maps onto whatever the warehouse management system already expects. Where a system is already in place its conventions win, because changing a label is cheaper than changing a database.
Only then does the specification follow: what the label has to survive, where it has to be readable from, and whether it is scanned by hand at arm's length or by a truck-mounted reader from the far end of an aisle. Those are different products, and choosing between them is the point of asking.

Bay, level and position on the beams, in the scheme agreed at survey and in a format the scanners in use can read at the distance they are actually used from.

Overhead and rack-end signage that identifies an aisle from a distance, so that a picker orients before walking rather than after.

Zone identification and block locations marked on the floor where goods are stored outside racking, which is usually where a numbering scheme runs out.

Label formats matched to the reading equipment and the lighting, since a code that scans on a bench does not necessarily scan at height in a dark aisle.

Cold store and outdoor labels
Adhesives and materials chosen for the environment, because the usual failure in a chilled or frozen room is not the print but the label letting go of the beam.
Load notices are the part that is a duty
EN 15635 requires the safe working load of a racking installation to be displayed where it can be seen by whoever is loading it. That is not a detail of a labelling project: it is the single item on this page that an inspector will look for and record the absence of.
A load notice has to describe the installation as it actually stands. If the beam pitches have been changed, if levels have been moved or if the configuration was altered during a reconfiguration, the old notice now states a capacity that the racking no longer has. That is worse than no notice at all, because it is relied on.
Rejuva produces load notices from the installation's own design figures and reissues them whenever the configuration changes. Where an installation's design figures cannot be established, we say so rather than printing a number: a plausible figure on a load notice is exactly the kind of invention this site does not do.

Frequently asked questions
Can you label an installation that is already in use?
Yes, and that is the usual case. The work is sequenced aisle by aisle so that only the aisle being labelled is out of use, and the sequence is agreed before anyone arrives.
Do you have to reuse our existing numbering?
If a warehouse system is already running on it, generally yes: the labels are the cheap end of that pairing and the database is the expensive end. Where the existing scheme is genuinely working against the operation, we set out what changing it would involve on both sides rather than only on the floor.
What makes a label fail?
Adhesion far more often than print. Cold, dust, oil and a beam that was not cleaned before application are the common causes, which is why the material is chosen against the environment at survey rather than from a catalogue.
How often do load notices need updating?
Whenever the configuration changes. Moving beam levels, changing pitches or reconfiguring a run all change what the installation is rated to carry, and the notice has to follow. A reconfiguration project should hand over new notices as part of its completion.
Do you also mark the floor?
Zone and block locations, yes, as part of a labelling scheme. Traffic lanes, pedestrian routes and escape routes are a separate trade with its own rules, and Rejuva covers those under line marking.
